In its early days, Mixtape started off as an artist management company, and has since evolved into a multifaceted agency that handles production, artist bookings, touring, lighting and AV.
Mixtape’s roaster boasts of varied artists who are in the top tier of independent music like one of the pioneers of Indian rock Pentagram, metal giants Skyharbor, rapper Naezy (in association with Kwan), the country’s first all-vocal ensemble Voctronica, OX7GEN and more. Through its touring wing, Mixtape has hosted artists right from Grammy winners Jacob Collier and Tinariwen, to critically acclaimed names like Telefon Tel Aviv, Zero 7, Bill Brewster, DJ EZ , Machinedrum amongst others, and has established a name for itself in the Indian as well as international circuit.
The company’s expertise in artist liaison has seen them associate with brands like Budweiser, YouTube, Red Bull, Bira to name a few, and work on projects such as the music launch of Gully Boy, debut edition of global property BUDX in India, Sony Music’s Straight Up Punjab, Magnetic Fields Festival (7 editions), Udaipur World Music Festival (3 editions) and many more.
The repertoire of festivals & events Mixtape has produced includes the likes of SulaFest (6 editions), Goa Sunsplash (3rd edition), Bhavishyavani’s first Eden Art Festival, Appa Art Festival, Red Bull’s Antariksha Sanchar and Hand of Thought. Additionally, they have also curated the lineup of BUDX Mumbai, India Bike Week, as well as the largest multicultural festival in India, Kala Ghoda Arts Festival. Mixtape’s most popular offering in recent times has been its very own annual two-day music festival Disrupt, in partnership with Social, which features cutting edge electronic artists and creative conferences.
Mixtape’s lighting and AV credentials include popular festivals like NH7 Weekender, Echoes of Earth, Neon East Fest, to branded IPs like Levi’s 501 Day, most Red Bull events in India and more. Mixtape has also toured with renowned artists like Prateek Kuhad, Divine, Naezy, Chet Faker, Steve Vai and Anderson Paak making it the most preferred company for any Lighting and AV needs. “It’s been a privilege to be part of this burgeoning music industry for over a decade.
