Concerts are the background music to the movies of our lives. The glory of being rests in those wondrous concert moments. Maybe you will find yourself bobbing your head to this list of moments every true fan has experienced at a concert.
1. Waiting…
For the show to start, for another round of drinks, for your friends to arrive, for the main act to arrive, for the next song, for the best song. Waiting…
2. Stag Scandal
Stag Entry basically means paying more money for your loneliness.
Do I really need to pay cover? You ask.
The bouncer doesn’t smile… But! But! But!
So, you approach girls outside asking. Hey so actually me and the boys were looking to save some money…
3. Who’s This?
Those opening acts that ended up sounding better than the closers.
4. Dance Disorder
Bodies touch bodies. Sweat merges with sweat. The beauty of the dance floor is that though there is no saving in life but when the right tune plays everything becomes for a moment almost alright for everybody.
5. Headbanging Aches

Headbanging leads to headache, neckache, backache and absenteeism yet it is worth it. Says the Guns N Roses tee sporting uncle wearing a cervical collar.
6. Overpriced Everything
700 for a shot of Magic Moments! Must contain actual magic…

7. Overspending
Ten thousand four hundred what?
The drinker doesn’t smile. The drinks smile inside of the drinker.
You take Credit Card, right?
8. Moshpit
I remember this one time at a Seedhe Maut gig when we were moshing so hard that punches and pushes weren’t even hurting anymore… After the hardest mosh of my life I witnessed another epic event.
I saw the guy next to me put a broken tooth into his pocket, smile through his bloodied mouth and jump back again into the pit…

9. Crowd Chant
Music becomes an extension that connects each to the other in such a way that it becomes anthemic. A good act can always make a crowd sing. Most of my memorable concerts were just endless singalongs.
10. Eargasm
When music becomes something bigger than sound… amalgamates into unison with the soul.
I remember watching this post-rock act from Europe. Remember neither their name nor the venue but remember that they made me realize that music too can cause a spiritual breakthrough.
11. The Kiss
At the perfect song’s perfect moment, the both of you lean in for a kiss. The music continues just as you realize that all of life is essentially a movie…
12. Favorite Live
That life altering tendency of watching your heroes and just crying out live and loud to those lyrics you have always cried to lone in silence…
Watching your favorite artist live is the most definitive concert experience. I sat on a flight to Pune just to watch The Lumineers live at NH7 Weekender.

14. Missed It
That one gig you absolutely wanted to attend but couldn’t so let’s not talk about it…
14. Encore
The show is over. The lights alight. Noise break into shouts of encore. The artist bows and disappears…
