ZigZag Vodka debuted with a bang at The Upper HSE by Tivoli, New Delhi, delivering an unforgettable night of vibrant creativity and bold self-expression. The event brought to life the brand’s philosophy of “Never Walk Straight” through dynamic performances, immersive installations, and a curated cocktail experience. The star of the night was the eclectic music and experiential programming, crafted by Bangalore-based artist and producer GNDHI, who shared insights into the creative process behind the one-of-a-kind evening.
“ZigZag’s identity is all about being unconventional and vibrant,” GNDHI explained. “When I started curating the lineup, I wanted to create performances that defied expectations and felt fresh at every moment. Each act had to surprise the audience while staying true to the brand’s bold spirit.”
The event split its programming between two thematic zones: the Zig and the Zag. In the Zig room, guests were treated to Divine Feminine Heels, a sensual, high-energy performance led by Yahvi Chavan. “This act was a perfect representation of confidence and empowerment,” GNDHI noted. “It embodied ZigZag’s ethos of celebrating individuality and daring to stand out.”
The Zag room offered a diverse musical journey, from Sarthak Mudgal and Airbass’s fusion of tabla, percussive guitar, and bass to a guest appearance by indie artist Bawari Basanti. GNDHI shared, “I wanted the lineup to feel like a narrative, with every act adding a unique layer to the experience. Sarthak’s set was an intricate blend of Indian and Western sounds, which aligned beautifully with ZigZag’s identity.”
The evening’s showstopper was The ZigZag Ensemble, a 16-piece orchestra led by Katya Krishnan, featuring brass, rhythm, and vocal sections. “This ensemble was a labor of love,” GNDHI revealed. “It was something I’d envisioned as a collective celebration of diversity in sound. Watching the audience react to their performance was one of the most rewarding moments of the night.”
GNDHI’s own set brought the night to an electrifying close, featuring Sufi singer Chandan Jaiswal in a groundbreaking collaboration. “I wanted my set to be a sonic journey, with surprises at every turn. We incorporated live saxophone parts and sound design on analog synthesizers to create an immersive experience that captured ZigZag’s essence,” GNDHI explained. “Bringing Chandan on board added depth to the performance—it was a fusion of electronic music and soulful vocals that truly resonated with the audience.”
