Sabu creates music with influences ranging from indie folk, alt-rock, and soul. His music takes on its own unique character while drawing inspiration from artists like Andrew Bird, Ben Howard & Bon Iver, among others, to fuel his own compositions.
Having started his journey by hustling at several open mics in the city, performing for small crowds in intimate settings and focusing on building an organic fan following, SABU has grown to perform at multiple venues including The Habitat, Monkey Bar, Depot29, Door No.1, The Piano Man Jazz Club, The Quarter and has also featured at The Lighthouse Music Festival. He recently collaborated with CHRMS on the track, “Mind”, (as a part of CHRMS’ debut EP Lover Boy), which was released on 27th May. He is also currently working on releasing his self-titled debut EP.
