Few rappers know how to truly showcase street slang and fuse it with rhythm. With ‘SANSANI 301’, Adro and Nkshtra have displayed musicality with a repertoire of raw, street phrases in an intrinsically poetic manner. Adro’s niche style is unique in the sense that it doesn’t resemble any of the templates of the current “Gully Rap” wave and yet manages to fuse “

Adro and Nkshtra start the album with a humorous intro named “Papaya” that flexes their skills. The song starts with a neighborhood market ambiance (which is a consistent theme across the album). This song portrays what’s to be expected throughout the album – a lot of witty bars, mixed with some trippy beats. Next up we have the title track – Sansani. This song has a barrage of bars, some mad beat switches and is an all-round banger. Some of the lines are witty punchlines – “Itna Mei Folk, Gaane Lage Tujhe Keertan” – this is just an example of how he fuses Mumbai street slang with punchlines.

“Zindagi” is a mellow, vibrant portrayal of Adro’s come-up and hustle.“Daanav” is yet another showcase of poetry and also speaks of the evils of mankind. “Kaliyuga” is a noticeable favorite in the entire album. It is a hard-hitting, gritty display of the truth by Adro. “Sanki” is a humorous twist in the tracklist. Adro goes all out over hardcore trap beats and straight-up separates himself from rappers trying to fit in with the trending sounds. Mack (who is one of the two features on the album) spits bars on bars in the track. ”Masala Chaas” was a single that later got added to the album. Featuring a decent English verse by Redlion, Adro comes through with his signature style.
We caught up with Adro to discuss the peculiar title of his album and to understand the concepts behind it. “301 is the pincode for Kalyan West. Sansani takes you through a rollercoaster of feels. From dark vibes to bangers. This sound scape takes you on a crazy ride.” he says about the title. When asked about how this album came to be he answers “Me and Nkshatra met in college. I saw him producing on FL Studio and that was it. We just connected and were surprised that we hadn’t discovered each other yet. After that we started to hangout and the wireframe of this tape was laid. We have been working on this for the past 7 months and it has been a crazy adventure.”
