The sixth edition of the Indian Music Diaries Awards is set to honor excellence in the Indian independent music scene, and at its helm are the distinguished members of the jury panel. Comprising acclaimed music critics, prolific writers, seasoned singer/songwriters, and visionary music directors, they bring a wealth of expertise and passion to the table. We are honored to welcome aboard them as their discerning ears and discerning insights promise to steer the awards towards recognizing the finest talents and achievements in industry.

1) Amit Gurbaxani – Music Journalist

Amit Gurbaxani, a seasoned music journalist, has been documenting and analyzing India’s independent music scene for nearly two decades. His insightful coverage of business trends and industry dynamics has appeared in esteemed publications such as Billboard, Music Ally, and Firstpost. 2) Akhila Shankar – Head Of TuneCore, South Asia

Akhila Shankar, as Head of TuneCore South Asia, leads the company’s initiatives to support and expand the independent artist community across the region. With over 15 years in marketing, strategic partnerships, and business operations within the media and entertainment industry, Akhila has previously contributed her expertise to organizations like Luminary and JioSaavn. Her deep understanding of the South Asian music market and commitment to artist development make her an invaluable member of the jury

3) Nirmika Singh – Founder, Mox Asia

Nirmika Singh, as Founder of MOX Asia, is a distinguished media leader and entrepreneur widely recognized as a leading authority on music and entertainment in South Asia. Her decade-long tenure as Executive Editor at Rolling Stone India saw her spearheading the magazine’s digital transformation into a multifaceted entertainment platform.

4) Neel Adhikari – Music Composer, Singer-Songwriter

5) Rohan Cariappa – Hip-Hop Critic
