Madverse Music Announces the Second Edition of Empower Fund to Support Independent Artists in India

Madverse Music has officially announced the launch of the second edition of its flagship initiative, Empower Fund, aimed at supporting the independent music community in India. The announcement was made in line with World Music Day, marking a continued commitment to strengthening opportunities for emerging artists.

First introduced in 2023, the Empower Fund is an annual artist grant designed to provide direct financial support and industry recognition to promising independent musicians. In its second edition, the fund will award two selected artists with a grant of INR 75,000 each, making the total fund value INR 1,50,000.

Applications are now open and will close on 30th June 2025. Artists across all languages, genres, and regions are encouraged to apply. The winners will be announced on 12th July 2025. The evaluation and selection process for Empower Fund 2.0 will be conducted by an esteemed jury of industry professionals, which is to be announced shortly. Empower Fund 2.0 is also supported by several media partners, including: Media Partners: The Indian Music Diaries and Let The Raven Talk.

This initiative aims to not only provide funding but also to build a more inclusive and sustainable space for independent artists by offering visibility, mentorship, and access to a growing ecosystem of support. Empower Fund is a reflection of our long-term vision to support, spotlight, and scale independent voices in music. While tools and services can help artists elevate their craft, with Empower Fund, we also want to ensure they have the resources to lay a strong foundation for their creative journey. With each edition, our goal is to provide both visibility and tangible support to help emerging artists build sustainable careers.” — Rohan Nesho Jain, Founder & CEO, Madverse Music.
