2019 has been a great year for the music industry. With tens of big-budget acts gracing Indian stages, fans got what they wanted, to see their favorite artists play live. Artists from various genres have performed in India this year and the number can only be seen increasing henceforth. 1. U2
U2, the Irish rock band from Dublin finished ‘The Joshua Tree Tour 2019’ in Mumbai on December 15th. This was their first-ever show in the country and their fans were as excited as could be.

Magic! is a Canadian reggae fusion band from Toronto. They were the headlining act for IIT Bombay’s festival; Mood Indigo 2019. They made their debut in India on December 28th.

Nick Murphy, formerly known as Chet Faker is an Australian singer and songwriter. He performed in December at Bacardi NH7 Weekender, Pune.
9. Katy Perry
Katy Perry is an American pop singer and songwriter. This pop-music sensation returned to India after seven years. She performed in Mumbai at the One Plus Music Festival in November.
10. Dua Lipa
Dua Lipa, an English singer, songwriter, and model made her debut performance in India alongside pop singer Katy Perry at the One Plus Music Festival in Mumbai in November.
11. Opeth
Opeth is a Swedish progressive metal band from Stockholm. The band made their debut in India in 2009 and then performed soon in 2012 as well. However, they came after seven long years to perform at Bacardi NH7 Weekender, Pune this year.
12. Plini
Plini is an Australian instrumental and progressive rock guitarist and songwriter. He made his debut in 2018 and then came back for a 5-city tour in India in 2019. He performed at Vh1 supersonic in Pune, and at venues in Mumbai, Bangalore, Ahmedabad, and New Delhi.
13. Wiz Khalifa
Wiz Khalifa is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and actor. He made his debut in India in 2017 and came back in 2018 as well and did a two-city tour in Mumbai and New Delhi in 2019.
14. Jacob Collier
Jacob is an English multi-instrumentalist, singer, composer, arranger as well as a producer. This was the first time, this Grammy award-winning musician, come to India. He performed two sold-out shows in Mumbai.
15. Kamasi Washington
Kamasi Washington is an American jazz saxophonist, composer, and producer. He made a two-city debut tour with shows in Mumbai and New Delhi in August.

Maribou State is an English electronic music duo. They performed at the Magnetic Fields festival in December along with various other cities such as New Delhi, Bangalore, Mumbai, and Pune.

Jungle is an English modern soul music collective. They were the headlining act at the Sula Fest 2019.

Hubris is a Swiss post-rock band and has a deeply immersive, spaced-out instrumental sound that revels in movements of electronic music-informed layers. They debuted with a five-city India tour to cities like New Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Bangalore, and Hyderabad in December.
19. Tesseract
Tesseract is a British progressive metal band. The band performed for the fourth time in India in February this year in Mumbai and Bangalore.
20. EarthGang
EarthGang is an American hip hop duo. The duo made their debut performance at Bacardi NH7 Weekender in Pune.
