Delhi’s Band Man.Goes Human Gets Track Featured in Netflix Film ‘Extraction’

Delhi based experimental rock band, Man.Goes Human’s track ‘No See’ has been chosen as part of the OST for the Netflix film ‘Extraction’. The film features Chris Hemsworth along side Randeep Hooda & Pankaj Tripathi and was released on 24th April. The film, a thriller, has been directed by Sam Hargrave, previously of the Avengers fame.

The band has also shot for the film and made an appearance in one of the crucial scenes in it. The filming happened in early 2019 (Feb) in Bangkok, and the band was present there for 3-4 days. It was a 12 hour shoot with more than a 100 extras on set, Sam Hargraves interacting with the band constantly. The band had to record the track live as well.

The song ‘No See’ has been picked up from the band’s debut self-titled album (Man.Goes Human), released in 2015. The band’s current line-up features Noni (Guitars), Kaprila (Vocals), Shitij (Bass) and Akshat (Drums), who recently toured Vietnam & Thailand and were gearing up for another Music festival in South East Asia before the Covid-19 pandemic began.

Tejeshwar Singh, Band Manager, mentions, “We couldn’t believe when this opportunity came knocking, it completely blew us away! Witnessing a Hollywood film-set was an eye-opener into what goes into production, sound, set designing. The crew was spectacular and so humble and ensured we were taken care of through the filming. This has given us even more confidence to explore more countries and spread our music; who knows where it could land!”

The band is already heading in a new direction with their sound and looking to explore more countries. What’s ahead for the band? Shitij says “Yes new material is work-in-progress. All depends on the outbreak now. We had a major festival in SE Asia this summer which has also been postponed. Had earlier thought of aligning the releases then. New date might be shifted to later this year”.
